Welcome to my fine art website. I am a painter living in California's Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree National Park. Color and light are an important part of my work as I strive to portray the mood of a landscape, interior or the personality of a portrait subject. Although I grew up near the coast, I have learned that desert beauty is an acquired taste. Today, I enjoy painting in my studio near Joshua Tree and en plein air in various parts of the Southwest.
